Study Programme Synopsis

In objective conditions of global formation and development of information society, information economy, experts in economic cybernetics become universal specialists, who are called to rule the state, enterprise, their own business. According to the International Classification of Occupations and Specialties ACSO-88, economists-cybernetics are defined as analysts of various fields of activity, experts in the field of forecasting, modeling of economic processes and the creation of software applications for managing these processes.

Objective:

Formation and development of general and professional competencies in the field of economic cybernetics aimed at obtaining knowledge by the student in the field of development and implementation of information systems and technologies, economic and mathematical modeling, making optimal decisions in conditions of uncertainty / risk at enterprises and institutions in various fields of activity and forms of ownership, in particular light industry.

Learning outcomes:

Upon completion of the study programme the Bachelor graduate will demonstrate:

  • Mastering the basics of system management of enterprises (institutions);
  • Skills to effectively address management problems through their formalization, definition
  • methods and tools for their implementation;
  • Skills to perform analytical processing of economic information in various spheres of economic activity;
  • Methods of analytical processing of economic information;
  • Ability to apply the principles and methods of economical and mathematical modeling
  • economic processes in modern economic conditions;
  • Ability to effectively address management problems through their formalization with
  • application of economic and mathematical methods and models;
  • Possession of modern methods and models for forecasting the development of economic systems;
  • Ability to create sound forecasts for the development of socio-economic systems;
  • Possession of methods of justification of managerial decisions in conditions of uncertainty / risk
  • rules and methods of their development and implementation;
  • Skills of introduction of information systems and technologies;
  • Ability to create new software products and implement custom development;
  • Ability to use modern software products and computer technology in an efficient way
  • industrial, scientific and educational activities;
  • Ability to create and implement modern information systems for enterprises
  • (institutions) of various spheres of activity, in particular light industry;
  • Ability to determine the purpose, features of functioning, basic technologies, concepts
  • construction and features of application of local and global computer networks;
  • Ability to configure, use, administer computer networks at the enterprise
  • (institution);
  • Skills to develop interactive WEB-pages for local computer networks and the Internet;
  • Ability to prepare promotional information through software and hardware, using text, image and HTML editors, distributed application technologies;
  • Skills in applying e-commerce knowledge and working methods to the Internet in order to create competitive advantages of an enterprise (institution).
