Study Programme Synopsis

The programme creates conditions for employment of graduates in related industries: chemical and processing industry, recycling and reuse of plastic waste. The programme makes possible to carry out scientific and practical activities in the field of chemical engineering. The programme is performed in an active research environment and provides an opportunity to continue studying abroad in related fields, including "Lublin University of Technology" (Poland).

The compulsory condition is to speak Ukrainian and foreign languages fluently.

The admission to the 1st year of the Bachelor’s programme is on a competitive basis.

Programme aim:

Formation and development of general and professional competences in the area of chemical technologies of fibers focused on acquiring of modern technical training, needed for employment and self-realization in society. The graduate has to have knowledge in the field of fiber-forming polymer materials, technological processes, technological equipment and production systems operation. The graduate has to be an expert in the basis of computer-aided design, having got the practical abilities and skills, needed to evaluate and control quality of polymer production and technological processes, to organize and improve industrial processes design and control, using specially designed software.

Knowledge and understanding:

- classification of polymers;

- the physical-chemical properties of fiber-forming materials;

- methods of preparation and processing of polymers;

- the structure of the industry, the purpose and objectives of practical implementation and monitoring of technological processes and operations.

Practice:

- formation of polymer compositions;

- organization of production processes and make technological schemes;

- using of information database;

- implementation of technological requirements at any stage of the production cycle to prevent violations of the conditions of processing of raw materials;

- business communication in native and foreign languages.

Making judgment:

- justification of polymer selection criteria and methods of its processing;

- quality control of fiber products;

- effective selection of machinery for fiber materials production;

- making production decisions in the processing of polymeric and fiber materials.
