History of the Department

Department of Electromechanical Systems started its history in 1992 when, according to the plan of admission to the first course wtre taken 25 people, and in 1997 the first graduation of experts in electrical engineering took place. In 1998, the department has received a license to train masters in "Electrical house appliances" and in 1999 took place their first graduation. In 2001, the department received accreditation documents for the IV level of accreditation in the field of "Electromechanics" and specialties and " Electrical household appliances". Since 1992, the department of electromechanical systems has trained more than 1,000 specialists in electrical engineering.

As Head of the Department worked: 1992-1995 - Prof., Ph.D. Starodub OA; 1995-2010 - Honoured Scientist of Ukraine, Prof. Kostritsky V.V.; 2011 - August 2012 - Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Prof. Burmistenkov A.P. From September 2012. Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Zlotenko B.N. has been in charge of the department.

In 2011 specialties 8 (7) .05070206 "Electrical house appliances" received the second accreditation until 2021 at the SAC of Ukraine. Licensed admission for the bachelor training in the field of 6.050702 "Electromechanics" amounts to 50 full-time students and for the masters training in the specialty 8.05070206 "Electrical household appliances" - 50 students.

Research

Scientific work is one of the leading activities of the faculty of the department. The main scientific field of the department was formed in the 70s of the last century, and was aimed at the development of new types of light industrial equipment and electrical household appliances. It was formed under the influence of the work under the guidance of professors Piskorski G.A., Burmistenkov A.P. and Petko I.V., when in the 1970-95 on this topic defended their theses more than 20 graduate students and applicants.

The Department takes part in the research work of the University, namely:

  • conducting research on the most important theoretical, scientific, technical and socio-economic problems in the profile of the department, pedagogy high school in close connection with the objectives of improving the quality of training;
  • makes an annual report on the results of research, conducts annual assessment graduate students;
  • discusses the completed research projects and gives recommendations for their publication, is involved in the implementation of research results in practice;
  • considers the thesis submitted by members of the department, or on behalf of the university management, other candidates;
  • organizes research work of students.

More than a decade teaching staff continuously performs state research orders funded by budgetary allocations. In 2006-2008. conducted research in the scientific field "Theoretical Foundations of resource-saving technologies of processing leather waste in modern materials and products." Also dr., Professor Zlotenko B. is the supervisor of state budget theme "Scientific basis for modification of biopolymers under the influence of the activated water systems in the production of leather and fur."

Employees of the department in recent years, published 90 scientific papers, 10 of which were published abroad and 22 works with the participation of students, received 8 patents for invention, published 12 monographs, 14 manuals. Teachers take part in conferences, including international ones.

Students are involved in the research work of the department. Every year on the subject of laboratories scientific research an average of 5-10 Master's theses and diploma projects are performed. All students starting from the fourth year of training are involved in the research work, which is determined by individual tasks. Students make presentations and participate in discussions as opponents. The best works are recommended to the student scientific and technical conference. Part of this work develops into a course and degree projects. Every year students under the guidance of teachers of the department publish 5-6 scientific articles in various publications and 12-15 abstracts of reports. With the participation of students in the 2014-2017 years designed and manufactured 8 stands for the study of the characteristics of electrical apparatuses household appliances, electric modes of study and Intellectual control systems.

Each year, students participate in university-level competitions in three disciplines of the department, the best works are recommended by the department to participate in inter university competitions and Olympiads of republican or other level. This scientific work covers about 80% of students in electromechanics.

Scientific Schools

At the department formed two schools of thought, whose works are known not only in Ukraine, but also abroad.

The first concerns the research of technological processes, machines and devices used in the production and operation of electrical household appliances. The head of the school - doctor of technical sciences, professor Burmistenko A.P. Over the past few years in this area three doctorates and two candidate’s theses have been defended.

The second school is known for innovation, research and introduction of new technologies and elements of electrical household appliances. This school is headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Petko I.V. Under his supervision three candidate’s theses have been defended over the past five years.

The university operates six specialized councils for doctoral and candidate’s theses, which include 3 members of the department (Burmistenkov A.P., Petko I.V., Zlotenko B.N.). Zlotenko B.N. is also a member of a specialized council in Khmelnitsky National University.

Teaching Staff

Professional training of students carries out a highly qualified teaching staff of the department, which employs 3 professors, 7 associate professors, 1 senior lecturer, 2 assistants.

ZLOTENKO Boris, Chair, Dr. of science, professor, Excellence in education of Ukraine.

In 1986 he graduated from Khmelnitsky Technological Institute of consumer services, and in 2008 - Kiev Municipal Pedagogical University named after Boris Grinchenko. In 2003 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, in 2004 - the academic title professor. Has 120 scientific papers, 5 monographs, 3 manuals. Teaches disciplines “Methodology of contemporary scientific research with basic intellectual property".

 

BURMISTENKOV Alexander, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Honored Worker of Education.

In 1964 he graduated from the Moscow Technological Institute of Light Industry. In 1989 he was awarded the scientific degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, in 1991 - the title of professor. Has more than 200 scientific papers, 9 manuals, 2 textbooks, 4 monographs. Teaches disciplines "Theory of electric drive".

 

PETKO Igor, professor, doctor of technical sciences, Excellence in education of Ukraine.

In 1958 he graduated from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute. In 1992 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, in 1993 - the title of professor. Has 280 scientific papers, 7 manuals, 2 textbooks, 6 monographs, 2 reference books. Teaches disciplines "Technological processes and design of household machines and devices".

 

ANTONENKO Anatoly, Senior Researcher, Ph.D., associate professor.

In 1962 he graduated from Kiev Polytechnic Institute. In 1968 he was awarded the scientific degree of candidate of technical sciences, in 1974 - the academic title of senior researcher. Has more than 150 scientific works, 1 manual. Teaches disciplines "Electric machines", "Special еlectric machines".

 

BILA Tatyana, Ph.D., associate professor.

In 1980 she graduated from Kiev Technological Institute of Light Industry. In 1986 she was awarded the scientific degree of candidate of technical Sciences, in 1991 - the academic title of associate professor. Has 80 scientific papers, 6 manuals, 1 textbook, 1 monograph. Teaches disciplines "Designing of electromechanical devices", "Computer modeling of electromechanical systems", "Mathematical modeling of electromechanical systems", "Information processing in an interactive environment".

 

KULIK Tatiana, Ph.D., associate professor.

In 2003 she graduated from Kiev National University of Technology and Design. In 2006 he was awarded the academic degree of candidate of technical sciences, in 2012 - the academic title of associate professor. Has 78 scientific papers, 2 monographs. Teaches discipline “Service technologies Systems”.

 

STATSENKO Volodimir, Ph.D., associate professor.

In 2002 he graduated from Kyiv National University of Technology and Design. In 2007 he was awarded the scientific PhD degree in 2011 - academic title of associate professor. Has 32 scientific works, 3 manuals, 1 monograph. Тeaches disciplines «Intellectual systems of control of electrical home appliances», «Computer technologies of design of electromechanical devices». « Computer engineering and algoritmisation».

 

PAVLENKO Vladimir, Ph.D., associate professor.

In 2000 he graduated from Kyiv National University of Technology and Design. In 2011 he was awarded the scientific degree of candidate of technical sciences. Has 17 scientific papers. He teaches disciplines "Electrical household appliances", «Installation and tuning of household devices», «Converter devices of electrical household appliances».

 

BONDARENKO Mykola, assistant.

In 1980 he graduated from Kyiv Technological Institute of Light Industry. Has 50 scientific papers, 5 manuals. Conducts laboratory classes on subjects "Technology of manufacturing of electrical household appliances", "Equipment for service maintenance of electrical household appliances", “Designing of electromechanical devices”, “Service technologies Systems”, "Theory of electric drive", "Engineering design and calculation of complex electrical household appliances".

 

DEMISHONKOVA Svetlana, Ph.D., associate professor.

In 1997 she graduated from Kyiv State Academy of Light Industry of Ukraine. In 2015 awarded the academic degree of candidate of technical sciences. She has 25 scientific works. Teaches disciplines "Technology of manufacturing of electrical household appliances", "Engineering design and calculation of complex electrical household appliances", «Measurements in electroenergeties, electrotechue and electromechanies».

 

STATSENKO Dmitry, assistant. Ph.D., associate professor.

In 2010 he graduated from Kyiv National University of national technology and design. In 2013 he was awarded academic degree of candidate of technical sciences. Has 14 scientific papers, 1 monograph. Teaches disciplines “Control systems of electromechanical devices”.

 

GLADCHUK Alexander, assistant.

In 1998 he graduated from Kyiv State Academy of Light Industry of Ukraine. Has 4 scientific works. Conducts laboratory classes on subjects "Electrical Machines", «Technological processes of electrical home appliances», "Electrical household appliances", «Installation and tuning of household devices», «Converter devices of electrical household appliances».

 

ZALUBOVSKIY MarkPh.D., senior lecturer.

In 2014 he graduated from Kyiv National University of national technology and design. In 2018 he was awarded academic degree of candidate of technical sciences. Has 40 scientific works. Conducts laboratory classes on subjects "Information processing in an interactive environment", «Computer technologies of design of electromechanical devices», “Methodology of contemporary scientific research with basic intellectual property".

Students

Plan for admission on the specialty of department for full-time education is 50 students per year.

In the 2017-2018 the department has about 125 full-time students and 49 part-time students.

Students group BEM-15 teachers of the department

For each group of students a teacher attached. They introduce students to guidelines governing the organization of educational process on credit-modular system; provide group and individual counseling with the aim of making the most rational individual plans for students, monitors their implementation; protects the educational interests of students; helps young people to participate in the cultural life of the capital. Cultural events are held, the theater, exhibitions, museums and sporting events are regularly attended. Within KNUTD act clubs, where each of the students may find themselves in creative activities, sports and theater circles.

Prospects for Students

Specialists trained by the department will know:

  • modern fields of electrical household appliances;
  • computing algorithms and programming;
  • modern computer programs 3D-modeling SolidWorks, COMPASS, AUTOCAD;
  • modes of electrical household appliances;
  • design and operational characteristics of electrical household appliances;
  • fundamental features of principle, functional, installation and structural schemes of electrical household appliances of domestic and foreign production;
  • interactive application packages MATHCAD, EXCEL, ACCESS, and others;
  • methods for calculating various types of household appliances;
  • particular hardware implementation of microprocessor control systems for complex electrical household appliances;
  • computer technologies of virtual study of electromechanical systems, research tools of MATLAB applications Simulink, SimMechanics and others;
  • methods and tools for diagnosing modern electrical household appliances of domestic and foreign production;
  • rules of service, repair and maintenance of electrical household appliances.

As a result of study, students are able to:

  • calculate, design and construct modern electrical household appliances;
  • work on the computer, use the advanced interactive systems and applications.

High professional level of training of graduates of the Department of electromechanical systems will allow them to:

  • work for government, commercial and joint ventures for the production and repair of modern electrical household appliances;
  • open their own business in service and repair of electrical household appliances;
  • understand the difficult international market conditions of electrical household goods;
  • engage in teaching activities in the commercial and public secondary and higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
Students' Clubs

The department has two scientific clubs:

1) Automatic control of technological parameters in electrical household appliances.

Supervisor: Honored Worker of Education, doctor of science, professor Alexander P. Burmistenkov

2) Study of technological processes in electrical household appliances.

Supervisor: doctor of science, professor Igor V. Petko.

Participants of the scientific clubs annually make presentations at the All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference of Young Scientists and Students "Scientific developments of young people at the current stage".

Graduates successfully work in enterprises of Electric Machine and instrument industries in Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, in the domestic and foreign firms (such as Bosch, Moulinex, Rowenta, Tefal, Samsung, Sony, and others.), Specializes in the repair and sales, operation and maintenance of electrical appliances.

International cooperation

Professor Burmistenkov O/P. maintains scientific ties with Sunkuev B.S. the head of the department of Machines and devices for light industry in Vitebsk State Technological University (the Republic of Belarus). The department trains specialists for Turkey, Azerbaijan and Moldova.
