The Ministry of Education and Science announces a competition for obtaining state scholarships for the best young scientists to perpetuate the events of the Revolution of Dignity and honor the feat of the Heroes of Ukraine – the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred (hereinafter referred to as the Competition). The Сompetition starts on August 20, 2024. The relevant decision was made by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of 09.08.2024 № 1118.

Based on the results of the competitive selection, the best young scientists will be awarded 25 state named scholarships for a period of one year in the amount of two subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons each in five nominations:

• scholarship named after Dmytro Maksimov;
• scholarship named after Nazarii Voytovych;
• scholarship named after Roman Guryk;
• scholarship named after Ustym Holodnyuk;
• scholarship named after Yuriy Popravka.

A mandatory condition for obtaining a scholarship is the presence of significant scientific results in the scientific direction in which the applicant works (for which he studies) (at least three of the listed forms: monographs, scientific articles, in particular published in publications included in scientometrics databases data from Web of Science, Scopus (Index Copernicus for humanitarian and socioeconomic areas), scientific reports, protective documents for intellectual property objects, scientific and methodological documents, reports).

Of particular importance in determining the winners of the Competition is the applicant's active civic position regarding the protection of democratic values, rights, and freedoms of man and citizen, national interests of the state, its European choice, as well as in the formation of national self-awareness, dignity, and a sense of patriotism.

For the first time, higher education institutions, research institutions or councils of young scientists under the executive branch submit documents for participation in the Сompetition in electronic form to the National Electronic Research and Information System "URIS". The relevant module of the Сompetition of the National Electronic Scientific Information System "URIS" for submitting documents will be available from 02.09.2024 by the link.

The deadline for submitting documents is September 20, 2024.

Note: payment of scholarships will begin on January 1, 2025.
