The department is a graduate and trains students in the following specialties:

073 Management (educational degrees "Bachelor", "Master", "Doctor of Philosophy"),

281 Public Administration and Administration (Bachelor's degree).

Levels of education for which recruitment is carried out:

the first (bachelor's) level of higher education;

the second (master's) level of higher education;

the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education.

Training is conducted by state order and at the expense of individuals or legal entities.

Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates receive a diploma of basic higher education of the established state standard in the specialty 073 - Management:

Bachelor of Management - term of study 3 years 10 months (full-time, distance or distance learning).

Characteristics of the educational program:

The purpose of the program is to train specialists who have deep knowledge, as well as basic and professional competencies in the field of tourism business, aimed at gaining student knowledge in the field of management and administration with wide access to employment and further study. Formation and development of general and professional competencies in the specialty of tourism business, providing various employment and career opportunities aimed at students gaining knowledge in the field of management and administration.

Students acquire: knowledge of the theoretical foundations of system management; skills and abilities to organize the activities of economic entities taking into account modern requirements and industry affiliation; ability not only to apply existing methods of organizing tourist activities, but also to improve them on the basis of modern achievements.

As a result of their studies, students will have the following knowledge and professional skills:

• solving complex unforeseen tasks and problems in specialized areas of professional activity (including tourism), which involves the collection and interpretation of information (data), the choice of methods and tools, the use of innovative approaches;
• application in practice of basic knowledge of basic management sciences to the extent necessary for the development of general professional disciplines and the use of their methods in the chosen profession;
• formulation and implementation of the main goals of management;
• bringing to specialists and non-specialists information, ideas, problems, solutions and personal experience in the field of professional activity (in particular in the field of tourism business);
• ability to effectively form a communication strategy;
• ability to find and analyze information from different sources;
• ability to organize the process of performing tasks in accordance with the principles of time management;
• ability to manage complex actions or projects, be responsible for making decisions in unpredictable conditions;
• ability to be responsible for the development of team professional knowledge and to provide assessment of team strategic development.

Graduates of the department are able to work:

• managers of all levels of government in the corporate sector;
• specialists of production, logistics, economic, marketing, personnel and other functional units of enterprises;
• organizers of small and medium business; consultants for information, logistics, personnel development management;
• in tourist companies of all forms of ownership, hotels, sanatoriums, in state bodies of national, regional, municipal levels.

A specialist in tourism business management can hold the following positions:

• management staff in the departments of enterprises (planning and economic, production, labor and wages, technology, marketing, personnel management, foreign economic activity);
• deputy head of the company on issues: economics, logistics, finance, others;
• tourism manager, domestic tourism manager, international tourism manager;
• tourism safety specialist;
• head of the tourism department in the executive branch (at the state and regional levels);
• travel consultant, consultant (in the apparatus of public authorities).

Students of the Department of Management and Smart Innovation, based on the results of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education, have the opportunity to continue their master's degree in educational-professional (1 year and four months) master's degree program "Business Administration".

At the Faculty of Management and Business Design KNUTD, there is a postgraduate course in 073 Management. Students of the Department of Management and Smart Innovation can study in graduate school, defend a dissertation and obtain a Doctor of Philosophy.

Students of the Department of Management and Business Design have the opportunity to receive military education and a diploma of the state standard, studying in the 3rd and 4th years.

Students of all forms of education can be admitted to military training (based on the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, which conducts military training of students under the reserve officer training program and the National Defense University of Ukraine with subsequent assignment of officer ranks). Both boys and girls can, if they wish, undergo military training.

All university students living in cities and towns outside Kyiv and Kyiv region are provided with accommodation in a dormitory located near the educational buildings.

Educational Program «Tourism business» is:

• training of the management elite based on international standards and principles;
• formation of multidisciplinary skills for working in a business environment;
• practical training based on state authorities, leading international corporations, and domestic enterprises;
• gaining research experience and leadership skills;
• study of professional foreign languages.
