Levels of education for which enrolment is open:

The first (bachelor's) level of higher education.

The second (master's) level of higher education.

Training is conducted by state order and at the expense of individuals or legal entities.

 

To enter the 1st year for a bachelor's degree in full-time or part-time education, entrants make competitive subjects (EIT) and creative competitions.

To enter for a master's degree, entrants take entrance exams.

Admission to the educational degree "bachelor" and "master" is carried out by the "Rules of admission to the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design."

Computer-based learning technologies and educational software are widely used for comprehensive training. The training process involves effective teaching methods, modern creative work of designers, the latest equipment from leading companies in the world, computer technology and unique professional software. During their studies, students acquire knowledge in the field of project development and graphic design, formation of forms and colour theory, advertising, computer graphics, modern technologies and means of phytodesign and landscape design in accordance with world trends and fashion, design of small architectural forms, furniture, dendrology and engineering landscape design, exhibition design, aesthetic positions of interior decoration, etc. Students get acquainted with the basics of scientific research in the field of design.

As a result of studying, students acquire the following knowledge and professional skills:

Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates receive a diploma of basic or complete higher education of the established state standard in the specialty 022 Design:

Students of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design obtain the degree of "Bachelor of Design" and thus have the opportunity to continue their master's degree training in the educational program "Design (by type)", in the following programs: "Landscape design" and "Computer-aided interior and furniture design" offered by the department, and to obtain the "Master of design" degree in these training programs.

Graduates of the program are able to work in institutions of higher education in the field of art, project institutions in various fields of design, institutions in the field of art.

Specialists are able to perform professional work of a designer, art director, artist, art critic in design and architectural companies, work in the fields of art, science and technology, education.

Designer can hold the following primary positions:

Students of the 3rd and 4th year of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design have the opportunity to receive military education and obtain a diploma of the state standard. 

Students of all forms of education can be admitted to military training (on the basis of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, which conducts military training of students under the reserve officers training program together with the National Defence University of Ukraine with subsequent assignment of officer ranks). Students of all genders can undergo military training. 

To prepare for admission to the professional field of "landscape design", there are pre-study courses where entrants have the opportunity to prepare for a creative competition (drawing, painting, special composition). After finishing the pre-study courses, the results of the final exam can be accepted as entrance exam (creative competition).

All students of the Faculty of Design who live in cities and towns outside of Kyiv and Kyiv region are provided with accommodation in a dormitory located near the university buildings.
