FIRST (BACHELOR) LEVEL OF HIGHER EDUCATION

For admission to 1 course to obtain an educational bachelor's degree of full-time, part-time or distance-learning forms of education, applicants take competitive subjects (VNO).

The specialization "Design of shoes and haberdashery" is aimed at training a specialist who is able to create modern competitive models of shoes and accessories, based on knowledge of the basics of design, the latest production technologies and can work in industrial enterprises, organizations of various forms of ownership. implementation of services for the manufacture of leather products.

Students acquire knowledge about the variety of raw materials for light industry products, range of textiles and knitted fabrics, leather materials, principles of structural and functional organization of shoe production technology, basic laws and modern achievements in design, modeling and decoration of light industry products, development of optimal technology. production.

Students are provided with modern educational and methodical literature and information about the latest technologies in the fashion industry, modern computer technology, have the opportunity to master modern design programs, develop processes for designing shoes and haberdashery with modern software, participate in international competitions and exhibitions.

As a result of training in the professional field "Design of shoes and haberdashery" students will have the following knowledge and skills of professional activity:

• creation of projects of footwear and accessories of different purpose and style decision;
• defining the concept of developing a range of shoes and accessories in accordance with consumer needs;
• 3 D modeling of shoe shape and its elements;
• development of principles of presentation of collections of models of footwear and accessories (within the limits of displays of own collections, at various festivals and competitions of young fashion designers-designers of all-Ukrainian and international scale);
• creative work in the field of branding and design of branded products;
• systematization of characteristic functional and figurative properties of modern trends in the fashion industry and their application in their own collections;
• development of models of footwear and accessories taking into account fashion trends, materials, style;
• development of shoe patterns (skills of a pattern maker).

Graduates of the Department of Design and Technology of Leather Products are able to work:

• enterprises for mass production of footwear and leather goods;
• houses of models of footwear and accessories, design studios, fashion studios, the field of individual tailoring and repair of footwear and accessories;
• scientific institutions and organizations engaged in design in the field of footwear and accessories, products made of functional materials and the fashion industry;
• enterprises, firms and organizations engaged in business activities in the field of footwear and accessories, activities in the field of fashion industry, covering issues of fashion, style and image;
• design studios and heads of production units of the footwear industry;
• companies, small businesses, networks of wholesale and retail trade of footwear and accessories for different segments of consumers;
• fashion designer of orthopedic and special footwear.

According to the results of obtaining the first (bachelor's) level of higher education, students have the opportunity to continue their master's degree in educational-professional (1 year 4 months) and educational-scientific (1 year 10 months) master's degree programs "Fashion Industry", professional direction. Shoe and Haberdashery Design ”and“ Light Industry Technologies ”respectively and get the educational qualification“ engineer-technologist ”or“ engineer-researcher ”respectively according to one of the named master's training programs.

Information about the possibility of obtaining a military specialty, the availability of hostels

Students, while receiving the first (bachelor's) level of higher education, have the opportunity to receive a military education and receive an appropriate state diploma.

All students of the faculty of the fashion industry living in cities and towns outside of Kyiv and the Kyiv region are provided with accommodation in a hostel located nearby the educational buildings of the university.
