After successful graduation, students receive a diploma of basic or complete higher education of the established state standard in the specialty 026 Performing Arts:
Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts. Duration of the program – 3 years 10 months (based on general secondary education)
The main goal: the training of performing arts specialists is the acquisition by students of general and professional competencies based on the formation of theoretical knowledge, practical skills and abilities sufficient to successfully fulfill the professional duties of a performing arts specialist, obtained by mastering professional theatrical courses, mastering skills and managerial activities in the field of stage, theater and film arts, which provides an opportunity for further education and successful employment.
The main objectives of the program are: to train specialists possessing a deep knowledge, as well as basic and professional competencies in the field of performing arts, aimed at obtaining the qualification of a professional bachelor in performing arts; training of highly qualified theater and film actors, as well as heads of theater groups capable of solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of performing and theatrical art.
As a result of training, bachelor students will have the following knowledge and skills of professional activity:
The ability to solve complex problems in the field of performing arts using theories and methods of art history, theater pedagogy, psychology of creativity, cultural studies.
Know, understand and apply the standard methods, forms, techniques of organizing an amateur group, form the repertoire of an amateur stage group/band.
Work in a team (with a team), build effective communication in a professional environment to achieve common creative goals.
Use specialized software, information and communication technologies to achieve professional goals.
Accept constructive criticism, identify the strengths and weaknesses of creative activity to improve professional development.
Possess basic scriptwriting skills for any performance/performance event.
Independently organize and conduct individual and collective rehearsal process with different groups of participants, in the conditions of organized leisure as well.
Fluently speak on professional topics in the national and foreign languages orally and in writing, discuss the results of professional activities with specialists and non-specialists, argue their position on debatable issues.
The ability to develop and implement educational projects in order to popularize the performing arts (according to specializations) in wide sections of society, including using the theatrical press, television, and the Internet.

television (actors, presenters, dubbing actors),
teachers of performing arts in preschool and school educational institutions (including art education),
in children’s creative groups, centers of children’s and youth creativity.
The Acting and Production Specialist can hold the following positions:
Actor (theatre, cinema, etc.).
Film, theater (pop and other) actors.
Professionals in the field of cinema, theater and stage.
Presenter.
Leader of an amateur children’s group (clubs, studios).
Leisure time activity specialist.
Head (studios for arts and artistic creativity, amateur association, interest club, etc.).
Art director.
Information about the possibility of obtaining a military specialty, as well as the availability of hostels.
3rd and 4th-year students of the Department of Performing Arts have an opportunity to receive a military education and receive an appropriate state diploma.
For military training (on the basis of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, which conducts military training of students under the reserve officer training program together with the National Defense University of Ukraine with subsequent assignment of an officer rank), students of all forms of education can be accepted. Both boys and girls can undergo military training, if desired.
All full-time students of the Department of Performing Arts living in cities and towns outside of Kyiv and the Kyiv region, are provided with accommodation in the hostel located near the University’s academic buildings.
