The main purpose of training in the specialty is training specialists who have deep knowledge, as well as basic and professional competencies in the field of culture and art, aimed at ensuring personal development and training of specialists in the management of socio-cultural activities.

The main objectives of the program are: training specialists capable of solving complex specialized problems and practical problems in socio-cultural sphere, education and science, creative economy and cultural practices, which involves the use of theories and methods of cultural management and is characterized by complexity and uncertainty.

International cooperation is realized through the participation of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business along with students in joint educational projects and international conferences, round tables, symposiums, international internships and more.

The department is constantly engaged in preparation of bachelors and masters in the Republics of Poland, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and others.

The main focus of the educational program: the emphasis is on the formation and development of professional competencies in the organization and management of socio-cultural activities in its organized forms and functional direction; organizations, enterprises, institutions for socio-cultural services.

Features of the educational program: the educational program is cultivated in the field of cultural and creative industries, harmoniously combines theoretical and practical training, which allows training highly qualified specialists capable of making independent, professional and responsible decisions in socio-cultural activities.

All students of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business, who live in cities and towns outside of Kyiv and Kyiv region are provided with accommodation in a hostel located near the university.

The 3rd and 4th year students of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business have the opportunity to obtain military education and obtain a state diploma.

Students of all forms of education can be admitted to military training (on the basis of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design that conducts military training of students under the reserve officers training program together with the National Defense University of Ukraine with subsequent officer rank). Both boys and girls can take military training if they wish.

Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates receive a diploma of basic or complete higher education of the established state standard in the specialty 028 Management of socio-cultural activities:
