The struggle of the Ukrainian people for the country, freedom, independence and statehood lead to a rapid rise of national consciousness, an understanding of the importance of preserving the national cultural heritage and a growing need for perfect communication in the native language. Transformational and European integration processes actualize the importance of fluency in English as a means of international communication. Modern society is aware of the mission of a highly qualified teacher as an agent of educational progress and an indicator of the state's competitiveness. Since quality education of students and adults depends on the professionalism of teachers, the training of Ukrainian language and literature, English language and foreign literature teachers is relevant and always in demand in the labour market.
The features of the program include improving the acquired competencies in the field of Ukrainian and English language and literature, Ukrainian as a foreign language, pedagogy, teaching methods and psychology for the formation of a qualified competitive specialist with profound understanding of modern trends in secondary education reforming, the peculiarities of teaching Ukrainian to foreign communicators and with high-level creative potential.
