Levels of education for which recruitment is carried out:
The first (Bachelor's) level of higher education.
The second (Master's) level of higher education.

To enter for a master's degree, entrants take entrance exams.
Admission to the educational degree "bachelor" and "master" is carried out by the "Rules of admission to the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design."

Upon successful completion, graduates receive a basic or full higher education diploma of the established state standard in speciality 022 Design:
- Bachelor of Design - 4 years of study (full-time or part-time form).
- Master of Design - 1,5 year of training (full-time form).
Students of the Department of Fine Arts And Graphic Design, as a result of obtaining the degree of "Bachelor of Design" have the opportunity to continue their master's degree in the educational program "Design (by type)", professional areas: "graphic design", “corporate style” operating at the department, and get a qualification Master of Design.
The training of specialists in the professional field of "Graphic Design" is based on the use of the traditions of the Ukrainian academic school of drawing and painting to lay a solid foundation in the development of skills of future artists-designers. Students have the opportunity to learn invaluable experience and author's methods of theoretical design research from academics, corresponding members of academies, professors and associate professors, folk artists and honored artists of Ukraine, members of creative unions of artists, designers and photographers of Ukraine.

The basis of the profession of graphic designer is the creation of visual advertising, illustrations, including the use of modern computer programs. The graphic designer also develops typography, uses fine arts and page printing techniques to produce the end result.
Graduates of the faculty in the professional field of "Graphic Design" are able to work:
Students of the Department of Fine Arts And Graphic Design have the opportunity, studying in the 3rd and 4th courses, to receive military education and receive a diploma of the state standard.
Students of all forms of education may be admitted to military training (on the basis of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, which conducts military training of students under the reserve officer training program together with the National Defense University of Ukraine with subsequent officer rank). Both boys and girls can undergo military training if they wish.
To prepare for admission to the professional field of "Graphic Design", preparatory courses are organized, where students have the opportunity to prepare for a creative competition (drawing, painting, special composition). The results of the final exam, after studying in preparatory courses, can be considered as entrance (from the creative competition).
All students of the Faculty of Design, who live in cities and towns outside of Kyiv and Kyiv region, are provided with accommodation in a dormitory located near the academic buildings.
