Education is carried out both by the government scholarship and at the expense of individuals and legal entities (contract education).

To apply for postgraduate Master's degree in full-time or part-time education, applicants take exams.

 

Admission is conducted in accordance with the "Rules of admission to the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design."

Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates receive a diploma of basic or complete higher education of the established state standard in the specialty 161 - Chemical Technologies and Engineering

General information

Educational program "Chemical technologies for processing the polymeric and composite materials", which is implemented at the departments of applied ecology, technology of polymers and chemical fibers, aimed at training specialists in the field chemical technologies and engineering, in particular at enterprises for the production and processing the polymeric and composite materials; mastered professional knowledge on the design and implementation of chemical-technological processes, operation of technological equipment and production systems, evaluation and quality control of finished products; implementation of the results of research work in the chemical and related industries.

The chemical industry needs specialists with a high level of knowledge who will ensure the further development of many of its industries. Masters in Chemical Technologies and Engineering are specialists in the field of chemical technology who have comprehensive high-quality training in the disciplines of general education and vocational guidance, and can work on the development and implementation of new or modernization of existing technological processes; able to study and solve scientific and applied problems of various enterprises, in particular for the production of polymeric materials and products from them; conduct research work aimed at improving the technological processes and quality of final products.

Our graduates are specialists with deep theoretical knowledge and good practical skills. These are specialists who today hold managerial positions at many enterprises of various forms of ownership, work in research institutes and government agencies, have significant scientific achievements.

Mission of departments:

– formation and development of general and professional competencies in the field of chemical technologies and engineering, which are aimed at providing students with professional training at the modern level necessary for employment and self-realization in society;

– formation of the national scientific and technical elite, which has a creative resource for the development and implementation of new materials and innovative technologies for industrial and residential consumers.

 

Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates receive a diploma of the European standard, which is recognized worldwide, and have the opportunity to continue their studies at KNUTD in order to obtain the degree of "Doctor of Philosophy".

Skills and knowledge

As a result of training, students acquire the following knowledge and professional skills:

In order to ensure a high level of training at the departments, specialized educational and scientific laboratories have been established, scientific groups work under the guidance of leading teachers of the departments, doctors of sciences. Every year students take part in national and international scientific conferences of young scientists and students, publish scientific articles, take part in competitions in professional disciplines.

At the Department of Applied Ecology, technology of polymers and fibers there is a Center for collective use of scientific equipment "additive manufacturing technologies» (3D-printing).

Students have the opportunity to participate in research work, course and diploma projects.

Studying at the university

The training is conducted by highly educated specialists with scientific authority and extensive experience in both production and design organizations. The laboratories of the faculty are equipped with modern devices and equipment that allows to consolidate the obtained theoretical knowledge in practice.

The university successfully operates "Modular system for the educational process KNUTD", which provides students with the opportunity to use electronic educational resources, including teaching materials in academic disciplines (lecture notes, guidelines, textbooks, manuals, presentation materials, etc.), to pass reports, take tests, ask questions to teachers on forums, check class schedules, have consultations, exams, see learning outcomes and much more.

At the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies of KNUTD, there is a postgraduate study in specialty 161 Chemical Technologies and Engineering, which allows defending a thesis and obtaining a Ph.D. degree.

Employment

The graduate can be employed in enterprises, organizations and institutions operating in the fields of chemical technology and engineering, in educational institutions, research and design institutes.

Can work in the following positions: chemist, chemist-analyst, research engineer, engineer-technologist (chemical technology), engineer (chemical technology), environmental engineer, engineer-technologist for water purification, assistant.

Information on the possibility of obtaining a military specialty, the availability of dormitories

Students have the opportunity in parallel with basic higher education obtain a military specialty "Organization of food, clothing, skipper and trade and household supplies" obtaining an officer's rank by the end of the course. Students are given a separate day in the schedule for military training courses.

All students living in cities and towns outside Kyiv and Kyiv region are provided with accommodation in a dormitory located near the university buildings.

It is possible to study on an individual, convenient schedule for the student, which allows you to combine study with work.
