Level of education,  at which enrolment is conducted:

First (bachelor’s) level of higher education.

Second (master’s) level of higher education.

Third (PhD) level of higher education.

The training is carried out on State demand and at the expense of individuals or legal entities.

In order to enter the first course of study for the bachelor’s degree, full-time or part-time, applicants must pass competitive subjects (UPE) and art competitions.

For admission to obtain an educational master's degree of full-time education, applicants take entrance tests.

Admission to study for an educational degree «bachelor’s degree» is carried out according to «Admission Rules in Kyiv National University of Technology and Design».

The main purpose of the course of study is the training of specialists with in-depth knowledge and basic and professional competence in the field of law, aimed at obtaining a student’s legal knowledge in the legal field and scientific activity.

All students of the Faculty of Law who live in cities and towns outside Kyiv and Kyiv oblast  are provided with accommodation in the dorm  , near to the University’s educational buildings.

Students in the final year of their studies are engaged in industrial and pre-diploma practice in law and insurance companies, local government bodies, the Procurator’s Office, the courts, the notarial system and get lawyer practice.

 

On the basis of the results of the education process students are suitable for employment in enterprises, organizations and institutions operating in professional legal activities. Work in  governmental and non-governmental organizations of any form of ownership where legal knowledge is needed (including enterprises of light industry and domestic service).

Graduate students may work as directors of all levels of government and as branch specialists; human rights bodies and law enforcement agencies; and organizers of small and medium-sized businesses; Legal advisers in various enterprises and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership.

 

The Department of Private and Public Law maintains and develops international relations with higher educational establishments and organizations from foreign countries.

International cooperation is carried out through the participation of the Department of Private and Public Law, together with students, in joint educational projects and international conferences, round tables, symposia, ect.

The Department is constantly engaged in preparation of bachelors and masters in the Republics of Poland, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, etc.

 

Graduates have a wide range of opportunities:

Students in the Department of Private and Public Law have the opportunity, on 3 and 4 courses,  to receive military education and to obtain the corresponding diploma of the State.

For military training (based at the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, which conducts military training of students in the program of training of reserve officers in cooperation with the National University of Defence of Ukraine with subsequent promotion of officer rank) students of all forms of education may be accepted. Military training is open to both boys and girls if they so wish.

 Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates receive a diploma of basic or complete higher education, as determined by the governmental, in the specialty 081 Law:

Expand students' study of the mechanism of protection of property intellectual property rights by increasing the number of lectures and practical hours in the academic discipline «Topical issues of intellectual property in Ukraine».

The decision was taken to increase the instructional (lecture and practical) hours in the educational discipline «Topical issues of intellectual property», namely: 24 hours. Lectures, 24 hours. are practical.
