On August 17, 2023, at the Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies of KNUTD, a solemn initiation of first-year students took place.
Students of the first year of study, their parents, scientific and pedagogical staff of the institute's departments gathered at the event. The director of the institute Igor Panasiuk was the moderator of the event.
At the beginning of the event, Ivan Gryshchenko, rector of KNUTD, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, addressed the meeting participants with a congratulatory video speech.
Those present listened attentively to the rector's words and greeted them with applause.
To familiarize first-year students with the university, its history and present, a video film about KNUTD was shown.
Representatives of KNUTD's stakeholder partners visited the meeting with first-year students. They noted that the students made the right choice, because KNUTD is one of the best universities in Ukraine. Opportunities and prospects for students were outlined.
Viktoria Lishchuk, head of one of "Ukrenergo" departments, addressed the first-year students.
Roman Kurylenko, a specialist in employer brand development and cooperation with youth, addressed the audience on behalf of the "SoftServe" IT company.
After the welcoming speeches, Igor Panasiuk introduced the students and their parents to the heads of the departments: computer engineering and electromechanics Professor Borys Zlotenko and applied physics and higher mathematics Oksana Lagoda; and also introduced leading professors: Iryna Shvedchikova, Oleksandr Shavyolkin, Oleksandr Kovalchuk.
Professor Iryna Shvedchikova spoke about the educational projects with German universities, which are carried out at the Institute and to which first-year students will be able to join.
The solemn part of the meeting ended with congratulations from the representatives of student self-government, Ilya Konavalchuk and Yevgeny Korzh. They talked about the possibilities of personality development at our university.
After the end of the official part, an informal meeting took place, during which first-year students and their parents received comprehensive answers to their questions.
The staff of the Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies wishes the first-year students creative inspiration, success in their studies, professional realization and fulfillment of their dreams!
