Students and teachers of the department of philology and translation of KNUTD gathered in the university auditorium to listen to the lecture, and many willing students and scientific and pedagogical workers joined the conference online.

The lecturer analysed the current issues and urgent challenges of modern education and its organization, such as: the essence of educational design, global problems of humanity, priorities of the XXI century education in the context of dynamic sense-making, construction of a transcultural educational environment, multilingualism in the higher education system. The researcher emphasized that the boundaries between cultures are flexible and conditional and change according to the social context. Transcultural education is oriented towards social justice, therefore it stimulates the overall far-reaching reform of a flexible and effective multilingual education system. Modern pedagogy has made significant progress in this area, and educators are able to inspire students from different cultures, with different languages and traditions to work together while respecting everyone's differences, to look for ways to understand each other, to acquire new knowledge and to master innovative skills.

At the lecture, prof. Olena Marina shared her impressions of the experience of scientific research in Irish higher education institutions and characterized some features of the educational process in local universities. The lecturer emphasized the interest of foreign colleagues in cooperation with Ukrainian scientists and educators.

The lecture was held in an atmosphere of open communication and active interaction between the lecturer and the audience. At the end of the lecture, the students asked the lecturer questions and get meaningful and comprehensive answers from Prof. Marina.

The lecture by Professor Olena MARINA made a positive impression both on philologists and students. The students and teachers of the department of philology and translation of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies are sincerely grateful to Professor MARINA for the relevant informative lecture and fruitful discussion.
