In the recital room of the University, there was organized the unsurpassable festivity, in honor of the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko. It has happened thanks to teachers and students of the KNUTD College. That was the literary and music arrangement organized in hallowed memory of the Great Kobzar, who was the Writer, Artist, Thinker, and Father of the Ukrainian Nation. 

Presenters announced the following aspects of Taras Schevchenko’s biography: ‘’The childhood. Sources of the Artist’s personality formation’’, ‘’The youth’’, ‘’The establishment of the Painter’’, ‘’Schevchenko, as a Writer’’, ‘’The meaning of his creative work. The genius, who belongs to the whole world’’.

Kobzar’s poetry gave tone to the whole process of the above mentioned festivity. 

Spectators were stockstill, listening to the magic sounds and bewitching songs by the choir of the bandore players from the Kyiv Gliyer music Institute.

The Honored Artist of Ukraine – Olena Hyzha has sung about the Motherland and the difficult Mother’s lot. 

Their own poems have read the students of the college - N. Ponomariova and A. Liubyschkyna. 

The participants of the theatrical amateur group have acted in the excerpt from the famous ‘’Nazar Stodolya’’ stage play.

The photographs with views of our native country and from the the foreign countries connected with Schevchenko’s biography were projected on the screen during the whole time of the action.

The Final Word was told by the Director of the College – Khmelevska Liubov Petrivna.
