PERSONAL EXHIBITION “CONVERSATION WITH THE SOUL”

LILIIA BEZUGLA

Liliia Bezugla is a senior lecturer at the Department of Interior and Furniture Design of KNUTD. She graduated from the P. G. Tychyna Uman State Pedagogical University with a degree in Fine Arts in 2000. Since 2004, she has been working as an interior designer and decorator, interior visualizer; since 2025, she has been teaching the disciplines “Composition and Color Science”, “Fundamentals of Environmental Design”, etc. at KNUTD. She works in various techniques: acrylic, gouache, watercolor, as well as in computer programs 3D Max, Marvelous Designer, ZBrush, etc.

She is fond of decorative and applied arts, in particular, she studies decorative painting of the village of Samchyki, Petrykivka decorative painting, vytynanki, Easter egg making, wax wreaths, beadwork, and modeling. She took courses from folk masters Viktor Rakovsky, Olga Mashevskaya. Paintings in the style of Samchykivsky painting and other works by Liliya Bezuglaya have won prizes at all-Ukrainian and international exhibitions and competitions.

The exhibition "Conversation with the Soul" is about love of life, hope and faith in VICTORY, because in the artist's works you can see hidden meanings and sacred signs that are a talisman. The creative source for the artist is decorative and applied art, in particular, Samchykivsky and Petrykivsky decorative painting, vytynanki, etc., but she transforms folk art, adding spiritual warmth and vital meaning to her works.

During the full-scale war, decorative painting acquired special importance, becoming isotherapy for anxiety and a space for spiritual healing. Painting has become not only a source of energy, but also a tool for help - artists create paintings, murals, paintings on cartridge cases for charitable events aimed at supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
