EXHIBITION OF STUDENT WORKS "CONCENTRATION OF CREATIVITY"
The Exhibition Center "Art Space" of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design presents the exhibition of student works "Concentration of Creativity" of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion. The exhibition demonstrates the creative work of students of the Departments of Fashion Technology, Modeling and Artistic Decoration of Clothes, Fashion and Clothing, Professional Education in Technology and Design, and Digital Art.
"Concentration of Creativity" is an excellent platform for the interaction and exchange of thoughts and ideas between students of different specialties. Visitors have an opportunity to learn about the creative work of the artistic direction and original aesthetic textile and leather products, as well as the techniques and technologies of their execution. This exhibition affirms the importance of creativity as a means of self-expression and assimilation of knowledge of higher education seekers, demonstrates their creative abilities and high level of skills. In addition, students present the results of their activities and creativity in groups of various directions.
Department of Digital Art
Student works presented by the Department are the result of artistic activities carried out by the staff of the Department to develop students’ creative abilities, providing them with thorough knowledge of fine arts and artistic creativity, forming professional competencies. The exhibition is organized in such a way that visitors can enjoy each work separately, as well as embrace the general atmosphere of creativity. Creative works of students, made in traditional and digital media, impress with the brightness of colors and detail, evoke a feeling of sublimity, captivate with the expressiveness of the depicted forms, because each work is unique and has its own special story. It is worth noting that students of the Department of Digital Art constantly participate and win prizes in international and domestic exhibitions, contests, projects, in particular, in the International Competition of One Image and New Year’s and Christmas Decor “Suzirya “Kashtan”, International Two-round Multi-genre Art Festival “Limanski Zori”, International Two-round Art Competition "Watercolor", the All-Ukrainian Art Competition "Heroes of famous paintings in the modern world", etc.
Department of Modeling and Artistic Decoration of Clothes
Under the guidance of practically oriented teachers of the Department, members of the Union of Designers and Artists of Ukraine, the works of students who are participants and laureates of creative competitions, shows and exhibitions are presented: "PRIME ART" (Katowice, Poland), "Starlight" (Toronto, Canada), Neo.Fashion (Berlin, Germany), Paris Fashion Week (organizer of the show is Association of Ukrainian Designers in Paris, France), "Panorama-Art" (Uzhhorod), "KyivFashion" (Kyiv), International Competition of Young Designers "Pecherski Kashtany" (Kyiv, KNUTD), and many other all-Ukrainian and international professional events in the fashion industry.
Department of Fashion and Clothing
Students of the Department show their creativity and design skills by participating in exhibitions and creative competitions, in particular in the annual International Competition of Young Designers “Pecherski Kashtany” (Kyiv), "Fashion Dialog" (Kyiv), "Fashion Without Borders", "Merlina Kraina Open" (Poland), "New Fashion Zone" (Kyiv), International Competition of One Image and New Year’s and Christmas Decor “Suzirya “Kashtan” (Kyiv). In order to develop the creative activity of students, the Department holds an exhibition-competition of creative works of students and teachers "Easter Fantasy", in which students participate not only as authors of works, but also as a jury, evaluating exhibits on social networks. In addition, students of the Department took part in international seminars under the leadership of the Ukrainian fur association – North American Fur Association (NAFA) – Canadian fur auction, which took place in Kyiv – EURASIA FUR FUTURES UKRAINE.
Department of Fashion Technology
Presented are student works made under the guidance of teachers who are participants and laureates of the following competitions: International Competition of Young Designers “Pecherski Kashtany” (Kyiv, KNUTD); International Competition of One Image and New Year’s and Christmas Decor “Suzirya “Kashtan” (Kyiv, KNUTD); International Competition of Young Designers “Digital Fashion” (Kyiv), International Competition of Young Designers of Clothes, Shoes and Accessories “New color” (Mukachevo), as well as in many countries of the world. Every year, students receive high grades from the jury in various nominations, which is confirmed by diplomas and awards.
Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design
The exposition of the Department presents the works of students and graduates of the University who took part in the international competitions “Pecherski Kashtany”, One Image and New Year’s and Christmas Decor “Suzirya “Kashtan” (Ukraine), "UKRAINIAN START-UP TO EU" (Kholmsk Trade Chamber of LLC Chełmska Izba Gospodarcza Sp. z o.o. (Republic of Poland), and received honors and awards. In the educational process, the teachers of the Department pay special attention to the realization of the goals of education for its sustainable development. This is confirmed by the use of innovative technologies for recycling.
