KNUTD - MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITIES FOR TEXTILES AUTEX

Despite the difficult times and russia's aggression against our country, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, represented by the educational and scientific community of the Faculty of Fashion and Technologies, became a member of the Association of Universities for Textiles AUTEX

AUTEX stands for the Association of Universities for Textiles. It creates a worldwide network of textile universities and was founded in 1994. Over the years, a strong enlargement took place, and the Association currently has 52 members from 36 countries. The mission of AUTEX as a non-profit association is to facilitate cooperation in high-level textile education and research by actions like:

  • Promote the activities and achievements of the member universities on a global stage.
  • Facilitate cooperation in the development and delivery of high-level taught courses and teaching materials amongst member universities.
  • Encourage student and staff mobility and networking amongst member universities and invited partners.
  • Facilitate the growth of active research partnerships amongst universities and invited partners.
  • Organise conferences to disseminate cutting-edge issues to textile professionals and students.
  • Disseminate the results of research work in textile and clothing science, technology and design through the publication of a journal on a regular basis.
  • Engage with other organisations and agencies concerned with textiles and clothing.
  • Offer special academic courses and training in textile related topics.
  • Apply for public-funded projects.

Since 2026, the following representatives of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) have been appointed to the Association:

  • Association Member Representative – Alla Rubanka, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Fashion and Style, Faculty of Fashion and Technologies;
  • Deputy Representative – Liudmyla Melnyk, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Deputy Dean for Research and Academic Affairs, Faculty of Design;
  • Deputy Representative – Yana Redko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Fashion and Technologies.

 

The scientific- educational and student staff of KNUTD received the opportunity to join the "textile" world community through joint educational and scientific projects and the opportunity to publish the results of their scientific research in the AUTEX RESEARCH JOURNAL, indexed in the Scopus (Q2, Impact factor = 1.944) https://www.autexrj.com/
