In order to familiarize students and teachers of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design with the Academic Exchange Program, the meeting was held with the representative of the Fulbright Program in Ukraine.

Inna Barysh, Deputy Director of the Program, coordinator of exchange programs for young scientists and students, presented the ample opportunities of the program, in particular for professional development and research.

During the workshop, three academic exchange scholarship programs were presented to Ukrainian applicants: the Fulbright Scholar Program, the Fulbright Research & Development Program, and the Fulbright Graduate Student Program, as well as the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant program for specialists willing to teach the Ukrainian language to American students.

The public competitive selection process takes place in three stages:

• filling out the application online and providing the necessary documents, including a compulsory scientific research plan, letters of recommendation and motivational letters of the applicant - the period of reviewing competitive works;
• English-language interview in the Ukrainian Program Office in Kyiv and compilation of computer tests in the English language TOEFL and BT (Internet-based Test) and GRE General Test (Graduate Record Examination) for the applicants Fulbright Research & Development Program and Fulbright Graduate Student Program - persons recommended for the final;
• The final approval of the finalists by the Supervisory Board of Fulbright Scholars and the Council of International Exchange of Scientists (CIES) in Washington.

All preparatory costs of participants in the competition (including further visa support, medical insurance, round-trip ticket, etc.) are covered by the Fulbright Program Office.
