On April 2, 2015, at the initiative of the teachers of the Department of Heat-and-Power Engineering, Resource Saving and Technogenic Safety and Student Self-Government of KNUTD, a round table discussion was held on the topic "Implementation of the principles of "green office" in KNUTD". As a result, was the proposal of students, supported by teachers and the university management, about the establishment of the organization - "Eco-Club KNUTD".

Every year, hundreds of students and staff of the University join the Eco-Club. The curators and activists carry out 10-15 actions and events, some of them are regular. The Eco-Club curators coordinate the environmental activities of the university student body by helping to get involved in local actions, guided by the "Think globally, act locally" principle.

In addition to the educational work, the participants of the Eco-Club carry out scientific researches. The results of scientific are consider at the meetings of the club, are covered at conferences and competitions of student scientific works, and are published in scientific journals.

The activities of the Eco Club are highly appreciated and supported not only by the student community and the university administration. So, in 2017, the curators of the Eco-Club received the Diploma of the Mayor of Kiev V. Klichko in the nomination “For Contribution to the Development of the Youth Movement”.

We congratulate our Eco-Club and wish further fruitful activity on the way of becoming sustainable development of Ukraine.
