On October 29, 2020, as part of the celebration of the 90th anniversary of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Energy Efficient University” took place. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.
In the context of a coronavirus pandemic, this event is the only opportunity to remotely exchange information and experience on the development and implementation of innovative energy saving projects for representatives of higher education institutions, domestic and international organizations and foundations, leading experts, scientists, local authorities and NGOs.
The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by the Director of the Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies, Professor Ihor Vasyliovych Panasiuk.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the All-Ukrainian Ecological League, Khmelnytsky National University, the State Ecological Academy of Postgraduate Education and Management, and directors of Amati-Service, Deutsche Electroservice, IBS and Ecoterm group.
Ihor Vasyliovych noted that scientists and business representatives from Denmark, Iraq, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Turkey and Turkmenistan took part in the conference.
Rector of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Economics, Professor Ivan Mykhailovych Hryshchenko addressed the participants and guests of the conference with a welcoming speech.

During the conference, the Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and the international company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (Germany).
Within the framework of the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Energy Efficient University” the Student Poster Contest “Save ENERGY-2020” took place. The contest featured 130 works by 3rd-5th-year students of KNUTD of the Drawing and Painting Department of the Design Faculty made under the guidance of Prof. Gula Ye.P., Assoc. Bystriakova V.N., Assoc. Kugai T.A., Assoc. Maznichenko O.V. and senior teacher Osadcha A.M. Artistic director of the contest was Assoc. Maznichenko O.V.
Student works received positive feedback from all participants of the conference. The winners of the contest were identified.
In general, the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Energy Efficient University” was held at a high scientific, organizational and practical levels, was quite informative and useful, which was repeatedly noted in the speeches of conference participants and guests.
The works of the conference participants were published in the professional publication of Category B “Bulletin of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design” № 4 (148), 2020 (ISSN 1813-6796).
We hope that comprehensive reports and lively scientific discussions will be remembered for a long time by the conference participants and will be useful in developing new projects.
