News -Results of the III International scientific and practical conference «TOPICAL ISSUES OF MODERN DESIGN»

The III International scientific and practical conference «TOPICAL ISSUES OF MODERN DESIGN» took place in KNUTD on April 22, 2021, organized by the Faculty of Design, which brought together famous scientists, practical designers, art critics, and leading specialists in the different areas of design from Ukraine, Tajikistan, Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Great Britain, China, Iran, Romania, Slovakia, Poland, and other countries.

The conference was moderated by Doctor of Eng., professor, dean of the faculty of design, State Prizewinner of Science and Technology of Ukraine, dean of the Faculty of Design, KNUTD, Maryna Kolosnichenko.

The rector of University, Doctor of Econ., Prof., Academician, State Prizewinner of Science and Technology of Ukraine Ivan Gryshchenko came forward with a welcoming word to the participants of the conference. He wished to all fruitful work and generating of new ideas during a scientific discussion, which will become strategic vectors for the development of design in Ukraine and other states.

Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of KNUTD, Doctor of Econ., prof. Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko addressed the participants of the conference with sincere wishes for a good job.

The First Vice-president, Academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Doctor of Eng., prof. Mykola Yakovlev sincerely congratulated the participants of the conference and reported Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design has been awarded the Silver Medal of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine for the contribution to the development of art and design.

Warm, cordial greetings to the KNUTD team came from colleagues from Tajikistan:

The conference was attended by Chinese partners from Qilu University of Technology (Jinan, China). The conference participants were greeted by Liu Yonbo – Deputy of First Secretary of Qilu University of Technology.

Art, prof., Member of Union of Designers of Latvia, head of Baltic International Academy of design (Latvia).

Partners from Moldovan universities, with which KNUTD has signed cooperation agreements, congratulated the conference participants - Ana Simak – Dr. Arts., prof., Dean of faculty of fine art and design of I. Kryange State Pedagogical University, Sergey Tronchu – Dr. Arch., prof., Dean of faculty of Textile and Polygraphy of Technical University of Moldova.

KNUTD graduate Nino Dolidze – PhD, professor of Akaki Tseriteli State University (Georgia),also expressed best wishes for fruitful work on the conference platforms, as well as other academicians - Karan Khurana – PhD, Assoc. prof. of International Westminster University (Uzbekistan), Maria Khasenevich – teacher of department of information technologies of Belarus State University (Belarus).

On the same day, online meetings were held in the Google Meet program on 5 platforms of the conference in 7 sections, which were attended by more than 200 participants from around the world - scientists, students, graduate students.

About 50 video reports of the conference participants have been placed on the YouTube channel; about 200 abstracts have been submitted for publication in a two-volume edition of the conference materials.
