On June 24-25, 2021, the 4th Meeting of the Subcommittee on Cooperation in the Field of Education on Cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and the People's Republic of China took place in a video conference format. In pursuance of the agreements reached during the 4th meeting of the Commission for Cooperation between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of China (December 23, 2020), the opening ceremony of the Ukrainian-Chinese Universities Alliance, uniting 49 Ukrainian and 92 Chinese higher education institutions in order to improve the quality of education and strengthening the internationalization of the educational sphere.

The Alliance has been established to expand cooperation and active exchange of modern teaching methods, respond to today's challenges in a pandemic and create conditions for modern quality distance education using digital technologies.

Priority areas of cooperation are the development of academic mobility of research and teaching staff, creation of teaching and research teams; the opening of joint laboratories and educational centres; development of academic mobility; introduction of modern online learning technologies, etc.

The Rector of Kyiv National Universities of Technologies and Design prof. Ivan GRYSHCHENKO in his speech shared the experience of the university's cooperation with Chinese educational institutions. He spoke about the creation and successful work of the first cooperative Sino-foreign higher education institution of Ukraine with China -the Kyiv Institute of the Qilu University of Technology in China, which has been established jointly by Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Province) in 2019.

Cooperation and the combination of the best scientific potentials for joint training of specialists in the future of international education and an important vector of sustainable development and cultural heritage.

It is already being implemented at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. It unites and strengthens the scientific and pedagogical community of the two countries - Ukraine and China based on the values of solidarity, commonwealth, cooperation, and co-creation.
