Academic mobility at the Faculty of Fashion Industry

At the beginning of September 2021 in order to implement the Teaching Mobility Agreement, Professor of the Department of Textile Technology and Design, Doctor Olena Kyzymchuk had the lectures series on modern developments in the textile industry for Ph.D. students of the Faculty of Textile Technologies at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. The lectures were conducted online. The event was coordinated by Maria Potocic, project manager for the Internationalization of Doctoral Study Textile Science and Technology (UP.03.1.1.02.0022) at the University of Zagreb.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, the history of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, its structure, directions of educational, scientific, and international activities, opportunities for international students in internships and research at the university were introduced to students. At the first lecture, Ph.D. students from the University of Zagreb were provided with information on the prospects for the development of the textile and fashion industry in Ukraine. As a result of interactive communication, the similarity of some problems in Ukraine and Croatia was found, and possible solutions to improve the situation were identified.

  

The main attention at the proposed lectures is paid to the latest developments in the field of auxetics and medical knitted materials. Textile materials and, in particular, knitted fabrics are in increasing demand in medical applications. The latest developments in the field are aimed not only to develop and improve existing products but also to create fundamentally new materials structures and products. The question aroused the keen interest of the audience from the point of future scientific cooperation.

 

 

 

 

The Faculty of Fashion Industry of the University looking forward to continuing cooperation with the Faculty of Textile Technology of the University of Zagreb, both in expanding opportunities for academic mobility, for example, within the framework of the Erasmus + program, and in joint scientific projects.
