From the first week of September 2021 in the Scientific and Technical Library of KNUTD classes on information culture of higher education seekers began.
The library takes an active part in improving the quality of educational and research processes and building a unified information environment of the university on the basis of the latest information and communication technologies.
Employees of the scientific and technical library told students, who joined KNUTD in 2021 - about the funds and electronic resources of STL KNUTD. While acquainting readers with electronic library resources through an interactive presentation, we told about the electronic library of STL KNUTD and institutional repository of KNUTD, explained the method of information retrieval in the electronic catalog and invited students to search for recommended in their first classes and training literature.
The Scientific and Technical Library under the patronage of the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Professor Lyudmila Hanushchak-Yefimenko, participates in the processes of supporting the information and scientific environment of the University, which is related to providing information, research needs of students, scientists, teachers and others staff.
Students at the meeting also learned about marketing technologies used in the activities of the library: in particular in promoting the formation of the scientist's brand, promotion and ensuring the open transfer of scientific knowledge.
The library provides assistance in creating (organizing) profiles of scientists in the system of author identification: Google Scholar, SCOPUS, ORCID, Researcher ID).
A separate issue covered during the information culture classes of STL KNUTD users is the popularization of ethical principles and rules of interaction and professional activity in higher education institutions. Therefore, higher education students received information on the basic principles of academic integrity, as well as the rules and regulations enshrined in the "Code of Academic Integrity of KNUTD".
In the second part of the information meeting, students were offered a study tour of the departments and funds of the library.
Staff of the scientific and technical library are interested in feedback from students for the prompt preparation of sets of electronic publications of educational literature for all specialties, so we hope that the library's help in obtaining maximum information in a short period of time will be useful to our students - young researchers. educational needs of each library user.
The Scientific and Technical Library is not only a repository of books, but also a multifunctional open space to the joint implementation of initiatives and projects of all stakeholders.
