On October 28, 2021, the jubilee X International Scientific and Practical Conference “Energy Efficient University”, dedicated to the 91st anniversary of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design was held.
The conference organizers are Ministry of Education and Science and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. The conference was held with the support of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, the Supreme Council of Energy Auditors and Energy Managers of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the German Society for International Cooperation GIZ.
Despite the holding of the conference in a mixed format (given the aggravation of the epidemiological situation in the country), for the tenth year it provides opportunities for the exchange of information and experience on energy conservation for representatives of higher education, domestic and foreign organizations and foundations, leading specialists, scientists, representatives of local authorities and public associations.
The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by the Director of the Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies, Professor Igor Panasiuk.
Igor Vasilyevich noted that the conference is attended by scientists and business representatives of more than 20 offices and institutions of higher education from different regions of Ukraine and foreign countries, namely from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Iraq, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Austria, Korea, Slovak Republic, the Republic of Turkey.
The rector of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Ivan Gryshchenko addressed the participants and guests of the conference with a welcoming speech.
Dmytro Petrunin, General Director of the Energy Efficiency Directorate of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, greeted the participants and guests of the conference. He underlined that Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design remains in the trend of energy efficiency and contributes in every way to the promotion of energy efficient lifestyle in the educational space.

The participants and guests of the conference heard and discussed the reports of Vera Vasilenko (engineer for the development of energy efficiency projects of the State Enterprise "HERZ Ukraine" of the Austrian company "HERZ Armaturen GmbH"), Anatoly Kozlenko (director of the educational and scientific laboratory "Center for Energy Efficiency" Kyiv, Head of the ICC Energy Efficiency Commission), Mykola Tolmachev (General Director of the TMM Construction Company), Mykola Savchuk (Member of the Board of the Public Union "Ukrainian Wind Energy Association", General Director of GRESA-GROUP LLC), Vadym Lytvin (Chairman of the Board of the Public Organization "Association of Energy" Auditors of Ukraine "), Danilo Deleva (service engineer at Atmosfera).
The reports were presented by scientists and graduate students of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Khmelnytsky National University, Donetsk National Technical University, Kremenchuk Mychailo Ostrohradskyi National University.

Traditionally, within the framework of the X International Scientific and Practical Conference “Energy Efficient University”, a student poster competition “Save ENERGY-2021” was held. 120 works of students of KNUTD 3-5 courses of the department of Drawing and Painting of the Design Faculty, made under the guidance of the academic staff of the department.
The student papers received positive feedback from all conference participants. There have been determined the winners of the competition.
Within the framework of the conference, a discussion of the educational and scientific program “Electrical power engineering, electrical engineering and electromechanics” and educational and professional programs “Electrical household appliances”, “Electromechanics”, “Intelligent systems of renewable energy and electric vehicles”, “Computer systems and networks” and “Computer engineering” took place. The discussion was attended by applicants for education, academic staff of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electromechanics and representatives of external stakeholders.
In general, the X International Scientific and Practical Conference “Energy Efficient University” was held at a high scientific, organizational and practical level, it was quite informative and useful, which was repeatedly noted in the speeches of the participants and guests of the conference.
We hope that informative reports, lively scientific discussions will be remembered by the conference participants for a long time and will be useful in developing new projects.
