Every year the Department of Private and Public Law of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law and Modern Technologies of KNUTD (hereinafter - ILMT) holds the “Law Week” to improve the legal culture of participants in the educational process, as well as their awareness of constitutional rights and responsibilities, opportunities for their implementation and protection.
Within December 2021, in the framework of the “Law Week 2021”, the Department of Private and Public Law planned and held a number of thematic educational events at KNUTD, including scientific and practical all-Ukrainian student round tables, seminars, discussions on human rights and professional activity of lawyers.
Thus, on December 10, 2021, an all-Ukrainian student round table “Fundamental Rights of Man and Citizen” was organized and held.
Tetiana Vlasiuk, Director of ILMT, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, and Armenui Telestakova, Head of the Department of Private and Public Law, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. They wished everyone fruitful work, active exchange of ideas, experiences and achievements.
The moderator of the event is Anatoliy Oliynyk, PhD in Law, Professor of the Department of Private and Public Law.
The result of the student round table is the conclusions and recommendations on problematic legal issues of human rights and reforms of the current Ukrainian law and legislation, the effectiveness of existing mechanisms in Ukraine for the realization of human civil rights and freedoms.
On December 15, 2021, the department organized and held the First Interdepartmental Scientific-Practical Seminar and Competition for the Best Lawyer’s Speech “VINCERE VERBO” with the participation of third and fourth-year students of ILMT, dedicated to the professional holiday – Ukranian Advocacy Day. The purpose of the “Lawyer’s Speech-2021” event is to organize an active exchange of views and experiences on building an independent Bar institution in Ukraine.
The participants were greeted by Tetiana Vlasiuk, Director of ILMT, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Armenui Telestakova, Head of the Department of Private and Public Law, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Yulia Bondarchuk, Head of the Department of Philology and Translation, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, and Inna Kovalenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Private and Public Law, PhD in Law.
The moderator of the event is Natalia Fastovets, PhD in Public Administration, Associate Professor of the Department of Private and Public Law.
The winners of the competition for the best lawyer’s speech “VINCERE VERBO” are:
1st place – Oleh Bondarenko, group БП-1-19;
2nd place – Yana Bilyakova, group БП-1-19;
3rd place – Anzhelika Chirva, group БП-2-19 and Leila Ismailova, group БП-1-19.
On December 17, 2021, the Department organized and held the All-Ukrainian student round table “Roman Tournament” with the participation of the first-year students of ILMT, KNUTD.
Welcoming remarks were made by Tetiana Vlasiuk, Director of ILMT, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Ihor Diorditsa, Professor of the Department of Private and Public Law, PhD in Law, and Olga Koval, Associate Professor of the Department of Private and Public Law, PhD in Law.
The moderator of the event is Armenui Telestakova, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Private and Public Law.
During the round table, the participants discussed some aspects of the Roman legal system functioning. In addition, all participants of the round table ended their speeches with thematic Latin idioms.
