On June 15, 2022, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design hosted an extended meeting of the Presidium of the Public Organization “Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine” chaired by Petro Kulikov. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet, Deputy Minister Svitlana Danylenko, Director General of the Directorate of Professional Higher Education Oleh Sharov, Chairman of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance Andriy Butenko, President of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl Kremin.

Higher education, like all spheres of public life, has undergone significant changes in wartime. The main task of higher education institutions in the new conditions is to ensure a full-fledged educational process, maintaining the contingent and human resources. The meeting discussed topical issues of the end of the 2021/2022 academic year; problems with this year’s admission campaign; new conditions for licensing higher education institutions; issues of the organization of the educational process in wartime; problems of financing Ukrainian universities and ways to solve them. There was a constructive exchange of positive developments between the managers of higher education institutions on ensuring the quality of higher education in the new conditions.
