On August 17, 2022, a scientific seminar on the annual certification of graduate students was held at the Faculty of Design, KNUTD. 1–4-year graduate students of the specialization 022 Design reported for the year and presented their scientific work and achievements. During the certification, a scientific discussion took place, and questions were asked by experienced professors, supervisors of graduate students Doctor of Arts T.F. Krotova, Doctor of Engineering N.V. Ostapenko, Doctor of Arts R.D. Mykhaylova, Doctor of Philosophy O.V. Kolisnyk, Doctor of Architecture V.A. Abyzov, as well as the graduate students themselves, who presented meaningful and interesting reports.

During the certification of graduate students, the Dean of the Faculty of Design, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. M.V. Kolosnichenko emphasized the importance of continuing scientific work during the hard for our country wartime, and the guarantor of the Educational and Scientific Program “Design” of the third educational level, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. K.L. Pashkevich acquainted graduate students with the requirements for publication and the conditions for defending theses for the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy. According to the results of the scientific seminar, all the graduate students were certified, and some were recommended to speed up their work.

Currently, there are 22 full-time, evening and part-time PhD students studying at the Faculty of Design and doing postgraduate courses, including scientific and pedagogical workers from KNUTD and other universities in Ukraine, as well as practical designers in the field of interior design and furniture, fashion design, industrial design, graphic design, etc.

The staff of the Faculty of Design comprehensively support its graduate students, believing that this is the future of design science and education because scientific developments in the design industry make human life not only aesthetic but ergonomic and comfortable as well.
