ONLINE MEETING OF THE RECTOR OF KNUTD WITH DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR OF SHEFFIELD HALLAM UNIVERSITY

On October 4, 2022, a working online meeting was held between the Rector of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Professor Dr. Ivan GRYSHCHENKO, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University (SHU), Great Britain, Professor David SHEPHERD. 

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of KNUTD thanked the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Sheffield Hallam for the support and constructive steps that have been taken together since the beginning of the cooperation. "This is extremely important, especially in these difficult times for Ukraine and higher education, in particular, the times of Russian aggression against our Motherland,"- noted Professor GRYSHCHENKO. 

A vivid example of effectiveness was the joint presentation of the Ukrainian scientific and educational community at the International Conference for the launch of the Twining project of cooperation between Ukraine and Great Britain in the field of education and science. 

Currently, interested graduate students of KNUTD have gained access to the library, online academic resources and online modules of SHU, which provides an opportunity to participate in educational programs of British higher education to students of our university. A cooperation plan was prepared, priorities were outlined and contacts between related educational areas were established. 

Professor SHEPHERD, in his turn, emphasized his admiration for the international achievements of KNUTD, he was especially impressed by the project of creating of Kyiv Institute at Qilu University of Technology (China), and expressed hope for the further success of the established fraternity and offered to hold regular meetings at the highest level. 

"The possibilities of our cooperation have only just begun. This applies not only to the scientific and educational direction, but also to cultural and sustainable development," emphasized Dr. David SHEPHERD.
