Results of the VI International Scientific-Practical Conference in Textile and Fashion “KyivTex&Fashion”

On October 20, 2022, the VI International Scientific-Practical Conference in Textile and Fashion “KyivTex&Fashion” took place. The conference organizers were the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Khmelnytsky National University, Kherson National Technical University, Akaki Tsereteli State University (Georgia), Polytechnic University of Tirana (Albania).

This year, the conference was held in extremely difficult conditions. The aggravation of the security situation in the city of Kyiv and the air alarm, which lasted the entire time of the plenary session, forced the participants to move to the shelter of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.

More than 100 participants took part in the conference.

The conference was opened by Ivan Hryshchenko, the chairman of the scientific committee, rector of KNUTD, professor, doctor of economic sciences, and academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. He emphasized that the University in the difficult conditions of military aggression continues to work efficiently and conduct personnel training and scientific work. He thanked all the participants for taking part in the conference and wished them fruitful creative discussions and scientific achievements.

 

Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, Liudmyla Zubkova, moderated the event.

 

The objective of the Conference is to provide a platform for researchers, academicians as well as industrial professionals from all over the world to present their research results and practical experience of innovation in the textile and fashion industry.

The participants of the conference were the scientists from Ukraine, Lithuania, Moldova, Georgia, Poland, Albania, Germany, Turkey, Great Britain, Egypt, Finland, Romania, and the Czech Republic.

Professor Mykola Kushchevskii and Associate Professor Viktoriya Mytsa – the lecturers of the Department of Technology and Design of Sewn Products of Khmelnytskyi National University.

 

Mykola RIABCHIKOV is a professor at the Department of Light Industry Technologies, Lutsk National Technical University

 

This year, more than 70 reports of scientists representing 12 countries of the world were registered for participation in the conference. The participants and guests of the conference listened to and discussed the reports of the conference participants online. The speakers were:

Liubov Serhienko (State Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine), Oksana Mykhailovska (Khmelnytskyi National University), Liudmyla Melnyk (KNUTD), Oksana Dmytryk (КНУТД), Olena Tsymbal (fashion designer, analyst and forecaster, owner of the fashion and lifestyle brand HELLISEN).

After the plenary meeting, the work was continued at the sectional meetings:

  • Latest textile materials and technologies, current issues of modern materials science
  • Fashion industry in the XXI century. Integration of smart technologies in the textile and fashion industry
  • Design of shoes and haberdashery
  • Innovations in the training of specialists for the textile and light industry

All papers will be published in the official edition of the Conference proceedings.
