Results of the 1st International Competition of Student Works “Digital Fashion”

 

On October 25-27, 2022, the 1st International Competition of Student Works “Digital Fashion” was held at the initiative of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design! The event was planned for the spring of this year. But this spring, like summer, was stolen from us by Russian aggression. Despite the difficult circumstances in our country, the Competition was held!

The geography of the Competition covered 12 countries: Ukraine, Georgia, Albania, Greece, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Belgium, Italy, India, the USA, and Chile.

We express our immense gratitude to the distinguished members of the jury! They are real professionals in the design and fashion industry.

The Competition was held in three stages:

The first (October 25, 2022) – development of new design ideas, design and visualization, sending works to the organizing committee. Performed by contestants on their computers, laptops, or tablets in real-time online.

The second (October 26, 2022) – submission of competitive works and evaluation of works by members of the jury. Performed by the organizing committee and the jury members in remote access mode using online means of communication.

The third (October 27, 2022) – summing up, awards in online mode.

 

The competition turned out to be quite large-scale.

46 participants and 46 competitive works in three nominations (Costumes, Shoes, Accessories). The contestants coped with the task, revealing their talents and their vision of the topic. It is especially pleasant that most of the jury members assessed the level of the competition works very positively.

Each work was evaluated according to the following criteria: 1) Compliance with the Sustainable Fashion competition direction, 2) Originality of design, 3) Artistic expressiveness of the composition, 4) Quality of graphic design, 5) Practicality and ergonomics of the model. And now the most important thing – the WINNERS of the Competition “DIGITAL FASHION”:

ІІІ place – Natalia Stoumbou (International Hellenic University, Creative Design and Clothing, Greece);

ІІІ place – Anastasia Semenko (Chernivtsi Vocational College of Technology and Design, Ukraine).

 

SHOES nomination:

І place – Abdul Razzaque (Footwear Design and Development Institute, India);

ІІ place – Krishan Dev (Footwear Design and Development Institute, India);

ІІІ place – Natalia Kuzina (Odessa Technical Vocational College, Ukraine);

ІІІ place – Elmir Bayramov (Akaki Tsereteli State University, Georgia).

 

ACCESSORIES nomination:

І place – Ivan Pashkov (Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Ukraine);

ІІ place – Anna Khrapko (Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Ukraine);

ІІІ place – Kateryna Kolesnikova (Odessa Technical Vocational College, Ukraine)

 

Today, we started creating modern fashion together, and we plan to continue expanding the geography of the competition community!

 

In addition, in all the nominations, the authors who offered “The best constructive and technological solution in the context of sustainable fashion” were recognized:
