Dear colleagues! We invite you to watch the film “Peaceful-21” by Akhtem Seitablayev, a famous Ukrainian director, screenwriter, theatre and film actor, a member of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, director of the Crimean House State Enterprise.
The screening will take place on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 15:00 in the assembly hall of the 4th building.
The film is a 2023 Ukrainian military action drama based on the real story of Luhansk border guards who fought the invaders despite the enemy’s superiority in strength and equipment.
The title of the film is the address where the Luhansk border guard detachment was located.
The film depicts the events of June 2014 that took place on the border of the Luhansk region. At that time, Russian special services and agents tried to persuade the soldiers of the Luhansk border guard detachment to betray their homeland. In this way, they tried to repeat the Crimean scenario and seize Ukrainian territory without a fight. Despite their lack of experience, the detachment went into battle at the decision of the current commander.

The script was written by Anatolii Kotsiurba, a current colonel of the State Border Guard Service, who told the film’s authors about the specifics of border guards’ work and military service in general.
Filming took place in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, including the territory of the military unit in Vasylkiv. It was the facility destroyed by the invaders in the first days of the invasion in 2022.
For the Ukrainian actor Pavlo Li, this film was the last of his career. Pavlo Li tragically died on 6 March 2022 in Irpin, during shelling by the Russian occupiers.
