On July 7, 2023, the Ivan Cherniakhovsky National Defense University of Ukraine hosted a significant and solemn event attended by more than 500 students – taking the Military Oath of Allegiance to the Ukrainian people. 104 students of the Educational and Scientific Complex of Military Training of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, military accounting specialty “Organization of Food, Clothing, Skipper, Trade and Consumer Support” took the oath and attained officer ranks.

Ivan Gryshchenko, Rector of KNUTD, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Mykhailo Koval, Head of the Cherniakhovsky National University, colonel general, and representatives of other universities congratulated the graduates on the solemn event.

The military oath testifies to the readiness to serve with loyalty and honor, adhere to military discipline and perform one’s duties with high professionalism. Today, in the context of Russia’s full-scale military aggression against Ukraine, in this difficult time for the Ukrainian people, a conscious decision to undertake military duty deserves respect and testifies to responsibility, courage, bravery, patriotism, and readiness to serve and defend one’s homeland, people, and land. Military service requires great effort, dedication, and discipline, and the knowledge, skills, and abilities acquired in the course of study, cohesion, help, support, and faith in your comrades will help you overcome any difficulties and trials.

We are proud of our students and are confident that the safety and independence of Ukraine are in good hands.
