The Department of Physical Education and Health of the Institute of Law and Modern Technologies has started its work and held the first meetings of scientific clubs this academic year. Involvement of higher education students in the work of scientific clubs promotes the development of their creative potential, acquiring skills in the implementation and presentation of scientific and practical research, which allows them to become competitive specialists in the labour market in the field of physical culture and sports.
On August 16, 2023, the first meeting of the student scientific club "Fitness and Recreation" was held (supervisor: Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Liliya TOMICH).
Liliia TOMICH told the students about the main directions of scientific work and the Regulations on the student scientific club. During the meeting, a number of problematic issues were defined, and the main areas of student research work were outlined. The students were given recommendations on the rules of conducting scientific and practical research; they chose topics to be discussed at the monthly meetings of the scientific club; learned how and where to look for primary sources and study the literature. Issues of preparation for the Day of Physical Culture and Sports in Ukraine, which is celebrated on the second Saturday of September (officially established in 1994) were also discussed during the meeting.
On August 23, 2023, the first meeting of the student scientific club "Pedagogical Search" (supervisor: Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Olga VNUKOVA) was held on the topic "Peculiarities of Scientific and Pedagogical Research".
During the meeting, such important issues as the observance of academic integrity in higher education institutions of Ukraine, scientific work skills and their application in independent research activities were discussed. The main tasks were outlined: 1) developing the ability of the future researchers to think creatively and solve scientific and pedagogical tasks both independently and in a team, in accordance with the peculiarities and types of scientific and pedagogical research, 2) increasing the motivation of the students in carrying out scientific research and mastering the logic of scientific and pedagogical research, 3) acquiring competencies in the preparation of scientific papers and presentations of the results of theoretical and practical scientific research at scientific and practical conferences of various levels.
