At the Department of Fashion and Style of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, despite the difficult conditions of martial law, according to the plan, meetings of three scientific clubs for higher education students of the educational and professional programs "Modeling, design and artistic decoration of light industry products" and "Design and technology of garments" are held.

Thus, on September 7, 2023, a meeting of the scientific club "Clothing design with the use of information technologies" was held (scientific supervisors - Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Prof. Olha Yezhova and PhD, Assoc. Prof. Alla Rubanka) on the topic "Analysis of the possibilities of using information technologies in fashion design". As part of the work of the club, the students learned about the features of using various graphic editors, automated clothing design systems, and automated enterprise management systems. Their advantages and disadvantages, features of application and requirements for equipment for implementation at enterprises of different capacities are considered. Attention is focused on the programs that are used in the operating sewing enterprises of Ukraine.

At the meeting of the student club, Yevheniya Lazariv (Group BShMK-20) shared her experience of implementing informal education, having completed the courses "Basics of graphic design", "Digital fashion mindset" and "Creating design for social networks using Canva" on the Coursera platform. The members of the club enthusiastically listened to the report and expressed their interest and desire to take online courses to deepen their knowledge of the courses under the educational and professional program "Modeling, design and artistic decoration of light industry products".

On September 14, 2023, a meeting of the scientific club "Creation of new types of special, industrial, uniform clothing with predicted characteristics" was held (scientific supervisors - Doctor of Engineering, Prof. Maryna Kolosnichenko, Doctor of Engineering, Prof. Nataliia Ostapenko and PhD Halyna Oliinyk) on the topic “Analysis of the project situation in design and development of protective clothing”. As part of their work, the students analyzed the conditions of use of protective clothing for military staff, types of existing sets, and other means of personal protection, an assortment of modern materials and accessories.

For further work, the students were asked to conduct a comparative analysis of existing varieties of protective clothing, equipment of domestic and foreign production for military aviation pilots.

On September 19, 2023, the participants of the meeting of the scientific club "Creative design and innovative manufacturing technologies of garments" (scientific supervisors - Candidate of Technical Sciences, associate professor Larysa Bilotska, assistant Svetlana Lozovenko) discussed the concept of circular fashion, the effects of fast fashion on the environment, as well as the ways to improve clothing production within this concept. During the debate, the possibilities of using ideas of creative design and innovative manufacturing technologies of garments to create and decorate modern products of the fashion industry were considered. Possibilities of implementing creative ideas with further presentation of research results at competitions and conferences were discussed.

Currently, all the participants of the scientific clubs of the Department of Fashion and Style of KNUTD are engaged in constant fruitful work on preparation for participation in various levels of creative and scientific conferences, competitions, shows, etc.
