On October 25, 2023, the opening of the largest in Ukraine International construction exhibition INTERBUILDEXPO and the exhibition of interior trends DESIGN LIVING TENDENCY took place at the International Exhibition Center on Brovarskiy Prospect. 1st-year students of the “Environmental Design” educational program together with their curator Nataliya Ryshkevych, senior lecturer at the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, were among the first visitors who came to the opening and got acquainted with new collections, innovative solutions and trends presented by the leading Ukrainian and foreign companies.
A wide range of design solutions was presented at the exhibition: Furniture for home; Furniture for the office and the HoReCa sector for workspaces and restaurants; Interior decor; Lighting fixtures; Home textiles and window decor.
Representatives of the leading Ukrainian and foreign companies were ready to share their experience and advised KNUTD students on the use of new materials and fabrics in creating innovative design solutions. Students were also given the opportunity to test the furniture for durability and comfort, which became an irreplaceable experience for future designers.
The exhibition became a valuable additional training and inspiration for those interested in modern trends in environmental design and the furniture industry. This contributes to the preparation of future designers for the labor market and ensures their competence in the latest trends and innovations in interior and furniture design.
Visiting the INTERBUILDEXPO and DESIGN LIVING TENDENCY exhibitions was a great opportunity to learn about the latest trends and innovations in the world of environmental design. Communication with industry experts allowed young designers to expand their knowledge and skills and added ideas for future projects.
