On February 28, 2024, the students and lecturers of the Faculty of Design attended the online lecture “The Art of Algorithms: Unveiling the World of Generative AI in Art and Design” by the educator and artificial intelligence consultant Francesca Tabor (Great Britain), which was held by KNUTD’s partner Domus Academy (Italy) as part of the Disrupting Patterns Talk lecture series.

The online lecture was attended by the lecturers and students of the bachelor’s and master’s levels of the departments of the Faculty of Design (educational programs "Fashion Design", "Multimedia Design", "Graphic Design", "Environmental Design", "Design (by types)") and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Design (educational and scientific program "Design").

Francesca Tabor has over 15 years of experience working at the intersection of new technologies, creative industries and business strategy. She has been a speaker at such events as Global Sports Tech Summit, LVMH, Digital Fashion Week, AI World Fair, Data Summit, IAPP Europe Data Protection Congress, etc.

During the lecture, the speaker talked about her career as an artificial intelligence educator and innovator, shedding light on how she helps organizations unlock the transformative potential of artificial intelligence to solve problems and conceptualize future opportunities.

Mrs. Francesca spoke about the wide possibilities of using artificial intelligence programs in various fields of design: in the film industry, in graphic design, in the fashion industry, for writing texts, creating images, developing computer games, in environment design, etc. She gave impressive examples of her own developments in advertising design and emphasized the possibilities of artificial intelligence for generating new ideas and concepts. After the lecture, the attendees could ask the lecturer questions and received comprehensive answers.

The lecture aroused a keen interest among future designers, as the lecturer offered a new and unusual perspective on the use of artificial intelligence in various fields of art and design.

We thank Domus Academy, KNUTD’s partner in the CUMULUS association, for the instructive lecture and the opportunity to gain knowledge about the latest developments in the field of design!
