Traditional Chinese painting technique Xie-Yi (“Transcribe the idea”).

Chi Shaoting is a Chinese-Ukrainian artist, calligrapher and teacher of fine arts in the traditional Chinese painting technique Xie-Yi (“Transcribe the idea”). Since 1998, she has been in constant contact and promotes cultural exchange between Ukraine and China. The artist is a member of the Public Club of Chinese Culture (Weifang, China), the National Union of Artists of Ukraine; her works are kept in museums and galleries in Ukraine and abroad. The artist Chi Shaoting has participated in many collective exhibitions throughout Ukraine, as well as in China, the USA, Spain, Germany and other countries, and has a number of personal art exhibitions.

The unique Chinese painting technique Xie-Yi (“Transcribe the idea”) originates from the philosophy of Chinese traditional painting – beauty and wisdom in simplicity, so such techniques as generalisation, hyperbole and conventionality are visible on rice paper. For more than 13 years, Chi Shaoting has been working as a teacher and she has her own art school, Celestial Culture. https://chi.gallery/
