On April 16, 2024, the first public lecture was held as part of the author’s course “Thread and Accessories Economy” by Valeriy Rybas, Director of TK-Furniture LLC, co-founder of the only factory of thread in Ukraine, Barva. This extraordinary event was attended by more than 60 people – students of various specialties and teachers of KNUTD.
Valeriy Rybas shared with the audience the facts from his own life that shaped him as a person and contributed to the understanding of true basic human values: honor, trust, and mutual respect.
The lecturer outlined five stages of development of the light industry in Ukraine, starting from 1991 to the present, and how they influenced the creation and expansion of his own business despite the crises in the country and the formation of his life path from rejection of the product to its recognition.
The speaker, with 30 years of experience in the light industry, shared his recommendations on how to organize and run a business in terms of effective management of real modern production. The attendees were interested in learning about the parity and importance of both parties in business – producers and buyers. It was noted that the manufacturer should skillfully predict the range of products, taking into account the preferences of the Ukrainian consumer and proactively calculate the market situation.
Valeriy Viacheslavovych also announced the material for further lectures, which will cover the stages of business formation and development, the search for partners and a decent attitude towards them, ways to evaluate the work of human resources, aspects of competition with the West and the East, the level of responsibility, and the difficulties of working in crises and war.
The lecture material became a real source of inspiration for the students, a basis for reflection on professional development, and encouraged them to learn, develop and continuously improve themselves, analyze and think critically. Valeriy Rybas’ charisma, sincerity, openness, and personal success story touched the hearts of young people.
The lecture, full of information in an atmosphere of ease and trust, ended with loud applause expressing respect for Valeriy Viacheslavovych as a professional and sincere person!
