With the support of the Primary Trade Union Organization of the University employees, a tour to the landscape parks Buky (Buky village, Kyiv region) and the Arboretum Oleksandriya (Bila Tserkva city) was held.
The employees of the University together with their families started a tour from the Buky landscape park. The excursionists visited the elegant Buky park complex, located on the banks of the Rostavytsia River. The idea to create a landscape park was proposed and implemented in 1996 by philanthropist Ivan Suslov.
The Church of St. Eugene and the Danylo Bell Tower were built on the territory of the park area in Buky. The dismantled Roulette fountain from Maidan Nezalezhnosti stands next to them. The tourists had the opportunity to learn about the history of the park’s foundation, enjoy the stunning views, and take vivid photos of the sights surrounded by greenery, water and sculptures.
The second part of the tour continued in the Arboretum Oleksandriya in Bila Tserkva. The park was created more than 200 years ago by the family of Count Franciszek Ksawery Branicki, as an object of family pride and magnate grandeur, covering an area of 400 hectares. It is considered one of the best arboretums of Ukraine. In the park, the tourists got acquainted with the variety of different types and forms of plants and had the opportunity to get incomparable pleasure, unity with nature, its beauty and power.
The Arboretum Oleksandriya is a landscape park with elements of romanticism and sentimentality.
All the participants enjoyed the tour and got a lot of positive emotions and impressions from communication with their colleagues and nature!
