Every year, in the middle of May, Ukrainians all over the world celebrate the bright and unique holiday "Vyshyvanka Day" dedicated to our national clothes. Each region of Ukraine has its own traditions of embroidery and the symbolism of ornaments, but one thing remains unchanged: embroidery is part of the genetic code of a Ukrainian. Vyshyvanka (embroidered blouse) unites Ukrainians from all over the world, glorifies our culture, fosters love for national symbols, and warms hearts and souls with warmth!
Today, when Ukrainians defend their national authenticity on the battlefield, Vyshyvanka Day has acquired special significance. Vyshyvanka became a glorious attribute of national heritage and the spiritual armor of all Ukrainians. The vyshyvanka symbolizes patriotism, the indomitability of the Ukrainian spirit, and a declaration to the whole world that Ukrainians are a free people.
On the eve of the holiday, talented students of the Department of Fashion and Style of the educational and professional programs “Styling, design and artistic finishing of fashion industry products” and “Design and technology of garments”, respecting the traditions and customs of the Ukrainian people, prepared their creative works for the International Vyshyvanka Day.
