On August 19, 2024, took place a ceremonial meeting of the staff of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Computer Technologies with the first-year students, who were greeted on behalf of the Rector of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Ivan HRYSCHENKO, de the Dean of the Faculty Borys ZLOTENKO.

The dean emphasized the important and special role of engineering education in modern conditions and wished the students success in their studies and further work in the field of creating new types of equipment and technologies. He familiarized the students with the peculiarities of the organization of studies at KNUTD, namely, he talked about the types of classes, the attendance and success control system, the work of curators, student self-government, scientific circles and sports sections.

Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Oleksiy VOLYANIK, Head of the Department of Computer Sciences Natalia CHUPRYNKA and Head of the Department of Computer and Information Technologies Vladyslava SKIDAN joined in the greeting and introduced the curators of the first-year academic groups.

The head of student self-government of the faculty, Dmytro MALIGIN, presented the student active core, talked about its work, as well as the election of heads of academic groups and student curators.

The meeting took place in a solemn and, at the same time, constructive atmosphere, which aimed the freshmen at an effective start of studies at the university.
