On September 29, 2024, students of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education of the Department of Management and Smart Innovations with their curator Nataliia Buhas visited the National Historical and Memorial Reserve “Babyn Yar” as part of the commemorative events dedicated to the 83rd anniversary of the Babyn Yar tragedy.
Babyn Yar, a tract on the northwestern outskirts of Kyiv, is one of the world-famous places of tragedies that became a symbol of the Holocaust. The purpose of the event was to acquaint the students with the tragic events that took place in Babyn Yar, develop their understanding of the importance of preserving historical memory, and stimulate them to actively participate in honoring the memory of the victims of the tragedy.
This format of the event will contribute to the formation of respect for historical events, understanding the importance of preserving the memory of tragic pages of history and a responsible attitude to human rights.
