On October 8, 2024, 3rd-year students of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education majoring in 073 “Management” of groups BMN-1-22, BMNskn-23 within the practice-oriented training under the educational component “Quality Management” listened to the lecture “Quality Management System is the Basis of a Successful Organization”, which was read by the invited practitioner Yurii Borysovych Kabakov, director of the Personnel Certification Body of the Ukrainian Quality Association, Candidate of Technical Sciences, valid member of the International Guild of Quality Professionals, certified auditor in quality management and environmental management, expert in EFQM levels of excellence , member of the scientific and methodical commission for the specialty 073 “Management” under the Ministry of Education of Ukraine, a participant in the development of the standard for the specialty 073 “Management”.
Since there was an air raid warning in Kyiv on this day in the morning, the lecture was held online.
To ensure the quality of work and increase the competitiveness of any organization, a perfect management system is needed, enabling the organization to consistently achieve the goals it sets for itself. This applies to any organizations at all levels – from the management of the state as a whole to the management of each individual enterprise.
Specialists within the framework of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) have developed a number of international standards for management systems, which define the requirements for organizations that want to achieve their goals. ISO standards in the system management are universally recognized tools used by millions of organizations around the world and can serve as the framework on which all other management tools can be strung.
The quality management system becomes the basis of the general management system of the organization, because it is aimed at achieving the main purpose of its existence. But in the organization, in addition to meeting the demands of consumers, there are other goals, for the fulfillment of which the management system of the organization should be improved on the basis of other ISO standards in the system management.
The lecture was held at a high level, the speaker explained the material in an accessible manner, gave examples from the practical activities of organizations, gave students the opportunity to ask questions and answered them, and a real discussion took place among the audience.
