On September 12, 2024, the first-year students of the "Multimedia Design" educational program, the Department of Multimedia Design, visited the Scientific and Technical Library of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD).

The library director and staff conducted an introductory lecture, explaining the structure, capabilities, and resources of the library. This visit marked an important step in the educational process for the freshmen, as they not only familiarized themselves with the available resources but also gained an understanding of the library’s vast potential to deepen their knowledge. This support from the University’s departments fosters the development of academic work culture among students, which is a crucial component of their professional training as future designers.

In addition to traditional paper publications, the library offers extensive access to electronic resources that cover the latest research in design and multimedia.

The students showed particular interest in the section of the library's collections that focuses on contemporary design issues, as well as the development of modern multimedia and graphic design technologies.. Additionally, the first-year students showed enthusiasm for participating in various creative initiatives.

The introductory library tour was actively supported by senior lecturer Yulia Sylenko and assistant Marharyta Ivanova, who are curators of the academic groups BDm1-24, BDm2-24, and BDm3-24 at the Department of Multimedia Design.

The library heads and staff members held an engaging and valuable session, introducing the students to both academic publications and national and international works of fiction.
