On the eve of Christmas, the third-year students of the program “026 Performing Arts”, mentored by the Honored Artist of Ukraine Viacheslav Dovzhenko, visited the National Museum of Literature of Ukraine with a vibrant and unique interpretation of Ivan Kotliarevsky’s poem “The Aeneid”. The art director of the performance was Liudmyla Ardelian, Associate Professor of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture and an Honored Artist of Ukraine.

Thanks to their original interpretation of the work and successful musical accompaniment, the third-year students breathed new life into the classic work, presenting it from a humanistic perspective. Their performance was emotional, bold, and inspiring at the same time.

The event was part of career guidance activities and the promotion of the educational program “Acting and Producing” for bachelor students majoring in “026 Performing Arts”.

The audience included high school students of the specialised school No. 304 with advanced study of information technologies in Kyiv, who watched the modern reading of the work with interest. This allowed them not only to better understand the poem presented in a modern context, but also to introduce future students to the artistic profession.
