BRIDGING THEORY AND PRACTICE IN HOSPITALITY: COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM AND HOTEL-RESTAURANT BUSINESS OF KNUTD AND LEADING HOTELS IN KYIV

During the educational internship, the second-year students of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business visited the city’s leading hotels, such as "Maidan Palace," "Kyiv," and "Turyst." During these practical sessions, the students had a unique opportunity to learn about modern approaches to management and the organization of operations in the hotel-restaurant sector.

The students had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the theoretical aspects of the hotels’ functioning and also acquired a range of practical skills, including:

the fundamentals of analyzing hotel organizational structures and understanding key business processes in the hospitality industry;

insights into the implementation of innovative service technologies and methods for evaluating the effectiveness of management processes;

the use of communication skills and effective interaction with both staff and guests;

teamwork and problem-solving skills in a real business environment;

the practical application of modern management methods to enhance service quality and boost the competitiveness of hotel-restaurant enterprises.

These educational tours serve as an essential step in developing the students' professional competencies, contributing to their professional growth and their understanding of modern business processes in the hospitality sector. The experience gained will help future professionals implement innovative solutions and improve service quality – key factors for the successful development of the industry.

Furthermore, the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business, and the management of the visited hotels have agreed to deepen their partnership, enabling students to gain even more theoretical knowledge and practical experience, and have also signed cooperation agreements.
