PARTICIPATION OF THE LECTURER FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION IN TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN IN THE WEBINAR “CHILD PROTECTION AND NON-VIOLENT PARENTING”

On April 30, 2025, Alla Kolodyazhna, PhD in Psychology, Associate Professor of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design, took part in a webinar “Child Protection and Nonviolent Parenting”. The webinar was held within the framework of the project “Specialized Services for Children and Adolescents in the Field of Mental Health”, implemented by the Coordination Center of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for Mental Health in partnership with the European Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ESCAP) with the support of UNICEF in Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the National Health Service of Ukraine.

The project is being implemented as part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program “Are You OK?”, an initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska.

The aim of the event is to provide access to the knowledge and skills of internationally recognized experts, as well as to introduce best clinical practices and scientific innovations. The webinar was held online.

The speaker of the event was Professor Jörg M. Fegert, President of ESCAP, University Hospital Ulm/Germany.

Jörg M. Fegert is Medical Director of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Medical Care Centre of Ulm University, former President and the Congress Chairman (Ulm, 2017) of the German Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy (DGKJP), and President (2023-2027) of the European Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ESCAP). From 2017 to 2022, he chaired the Scientific Advisory Board for Family Affairs of the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, as well as the National Council Against Sexual Abuse of Children and Adolescents. Prof. Fegert is also the Director of the Center of Competence for Child Abuse and Neglect of the State of Baden-Württemberg and leads the “Mental Health Prevention” division within the Coordination Network for Preventive Medicine of the State of Baden-Württemberg.

Jörg M. Fegert’s main areas of expertise include the prevention and response to neglect, abuse, sexual violence, and other adverse childhood experiences. His work also focuses on early intervention, the intersection of youth welfare services and child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as legal and forensic issues in child protection.
